  1. Milk in Australia is the same, but in America they use the percentage of milk fat in the milk as the label. Here we have Full Cream (3% milk fat) and Skinny Milk (1% milk fat), and yes the rest is really water. I know !

So you're drinking 3% if you're drinking full or normal Australian milk, and 1% if skinny. I don't think we market any 2% in Australia, but it could exist in some areas that I'm not in.

By the way, I'm trying to get through to you on your email, but never get a response.

  2. The percentage listed on milk is the percent of milk fat. Whole milk has 4% milkfat and Skim milk is nonfat. You can do the math for 1 and 2 percent. (There's only Skim, 1%, 2%, and whole.) While skim milk takes some getting used to, it's fine once you do... I was a former whole milk drinker until my lovely wife decided to make me healthier. Now I have the taste and none of the fat. I do think that skim milk looks blue, though.

By the way - LOVED the silk dress! Very pretty.

  4. In Canada, homogenized milk (3.25-4%) is also known as "homo milk." The term was coined, obviously and unfortunately, before "homo" became a pejorative term.

Skim milk (0%) means all the fat is skimmed out. There's no water added, it's just fat free.

Out of curiosity, even if Australia only labels them as "whole" or "skim" and what not, what did you think the differences between the milks were if not fat?
